Position Summary

Material Methods, a leader in the R&D and manufacturing of separation and energy devices built on nano-structured materials, has an immediate opportunity for a full-time scientist or engineer to join in a team that develops and commercializes nano-technology for water purification and energy storage.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with an entrepreneurial spirit and background in the physical sciences. We want someone who likes to build and make things work, enjoys working in a small team setting, working in the lab, analyzing data, developing new products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Contribute to Research Activities

Perform experiments, analysis and reporting in conjunction with scientists
Design and build experiments
Research markets, patents, literature

Desired Knowledge

Strong background in the physical sciences and experimental science
Familiarity or eagerness to work in polymer science, electrochemistry, transport, surface modification, colloid/surface science, catalysis, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, materials science, separation science

Desired Skills

Materials characterization, laboratory electronics, Mathematica, Digisim, MS Office, Labview, C++, Matlab
Wet chemistry, gas phase chemistry and vacuum science, or bio-technology
Laboratory electronics, mechanical design and assembly
Mathematical modeling
Design of experiments
Excellent communication and writing skills

Education and Experience

BS or MS in Chemistry, Physics or Engineering
